The Ghent University identity is universally recognizable with its corporate Blue + White.
This is combined with an accent colour: either the Ghent University Yellow in corporate communication, or an extra faculty supporting colour in faculty communication.
This page shows all official Ghent University colour codes. Do not create your own variations of these colours.
Be aware that computer screens, laser and inkjet printers reproduce colours differently. As a result the displayed colours may deviate slightly from the actual colours.
In graphic software from Adobe (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) you can insert these colour codes automatically:
The Ghent University colour palette consists of 4 primary colours:
The ‘look-n-feel’ of Ghent University in corporate communication is always primarily blue on white, yellow as secondary accent colour and black for the usual continuous (body)text.
Always use as standard the basic colour at 100%.
In certain situations, e.g. for charts and tables, tints in steps of 10% are allowed, to create more contrast in the colour spectrum.
Every faculty has its own supporting colour. This allows faculties to create their own identity.
All 11 colours are carefully matched to each other. They are historically determined from colour accents on the togas in 1993.
Use the supporting colour of the faculty in combination with Ghent University Blue (and White). A faculty colour replaces Ghent University Yellow.
